The "Ondazul" (Bluewave) Foundation is a non profit private institution, organized as an answer to the requirements for the protection of the water resources of Brazil. It's the product of the "Movimento Ondazul" (Bluewave Movement), conceived and led by the environmentalist Gilberto Gil, who belongs to the "Partido Verde" (Green Party), an ex-president of the Environment Commission of the Municipal Chamber of Salvador. As an independent entity, the "Fundação Ondazul" (Bluewave Foundation) is being financed through donations granted by national and international companies, through the sponsorship of specific projects and the commercialization of its logotype.
